Day 365, April 30th, 2014

Well, today is my last blog post for my 365 day project. I'm so pleased to say that I have completed a 365 day project! I set out to do something and I accomplished it! Some days, I was like oh crap! I still have to take a picture and those are usually the ones that are not the greatest or most creative.

I'd really like to thank everyone again for all the support throughout the year and watching my skills transform, whether you've been following on here or on my facebook page. I really appreciate everything!

This project is probably one of the coolest things I've done. Who wouldn't want a year documented via pictures?! I encourage everyone to try doing a project like this! Search the net, look at other peoples projects and join in!! If you do, please let me know, I'd love to follow your project!

With that being said, I'd really like to announce that I'm doing yet another project! This one won't be a 365 day project, it will be a 52 week project! I will be posting pictures once a week for an entire year, so you're not getting rid of me just yet! :)

I've already made another blog explaining things and I haven't set any rules just yet. I do plan on going between Sunday to Sunday type deal. I would really like to utilize this next project in showing the growth in my photography as I can pick the best picture out of many and post the best.

So with that, I'd like to invite you over to my new page!

Objects of my Affection by Ashleigh

Goodbye 365 day project, I will miss you, but now I'm onto different adventures!

These boots.... They walked me into this project and now they're going to walk me out. Until next time!

Day 364, April 29th, 2014

I keep thinking about this project and how it's almost been a year since I started it. What led me up to this point and why it caught my attention.

For the most part, when I started this project, I didn't have my dslr. I knew I wanted one and I knew which one I was going to start with but it just wasn't in my budget. I had been interested in photography for quite some time, taking a course here and there with my point and shoot. It was that that led me into reading more and more photographers blogs. I came across one blog that had a 365 day project about making clothing from scraps and turning them into wonderful outfits. I thought that was a great idea and thought that a picture a day could be interesting. How are these linked together you ask? It was a blog post on different projects that could be done and I guess they were linked together to show different types of projects that could be done. I started looking at other peoples projects and decided that I would like to do one of my own. I knew that most people did projects to improve their photography but I wanted to showcase a year of my life. No, not all pictures were fantastic and the quality certainly wasn't the greatest for all of them but when I pull up my photo album, I'm always like Oh ya! That happened that day or I use the pictures as references if we're discussing something. I'm really happy that I did this project and I'm looking forward to future projects as well.

This somewhat sounds like it should be tomorrows blog but I have something planned for it already so that's why I'm explaining things today.

Thank you again to everyone who views this blog and witnessed my year a long with me. I did this more so for personal reasons than to have a lot of viewers but I'm thankful for those of you who take the time to view it when you do!

Happy Tuesday!

Now THIS is why you have UV filters on your lenses! I have NO idea how this cracked or if it was weak to begin with but could you imagine if this was your lens?! Ahhh!!!! Now to buy a new one :)

Monday 28 April 2014

Day 363, April 28th, 2014

Hmm well that's a great way to start a Monday morning. First time using Jordan's knives and I cut myself. I don't know how but I do know that there was a lot of blood and at first, I didn't know how bad it was. I ended up going to Jordan's parents so that Jordan could determine if my finger needed stitches. Turns out that I some how cut a flap into my finger that was fairly deep but I managed to somehow close the flap by the time I got to Jordan's parents so it didn't look bad. Hurts like hell though. Sure hoping the day improves from this!

Hope you all have a good Monday, its kinda gloomy out there, which means it'll be a day where I have to fight to stay awake!

Only 3 days left(including today)!

ouch :(

Day 362, April 27th, 2014

This morning started off a little boring. Mostly sitting on the couch, watching tv and playing on my phone. Than Jordan and I went to his place where I cooked him lunch on the new cooktop(first time using the cook top and his pots) than I proceeded to clean. After that we went to his parents to do afternoon chores, than to Stonewall to pick up panels and a feeder than back to Jordan's parents for supper and milking. After milking it was dropping off the 5th wheel trailer at Allan's and than to my parents to pick up my vehicle.

The day went by really quickly and wasn't all rainbows and sparkles. Oh well, just hope this week coming up is better than last week.

Have a good Sunday!

Sunday 27 April 2014

Day 361, April 26th, 2014

I slept in until after 9 this morning! Holy Moly! I've been really tired this week which is partially the cause of my anxiousness and stress I've felt this week. I'm definitely having a tough week all around. Physically, mentally and emotionally. So this sleep was a good thing.
Today we're going to get my armoire and go out for breakfast :) mmm breakfast!

Hope you all have a great Saturday!

Brought in the blankets from getting the armoire. I set them down for a minute and she found them.

Friday 25 April 2014

Day 360, April 25th, 2014

Its Friday and I'm happy! Last night was very exciting and yet frustrating at the same time. We received really good news and than my night just kind of went down the tubes after that. I'm in a bit of a panic and I tore my room apart and didn't find what I was looking for. Than I decided that I would finish my evening with catching up on Chicago Fire but nope! Couldn't do that either. I watched April 15th's episode last week and went to watch last weeks episode this week and it changed. Global Tv locked their website. You have to have a tv provider in order to watch Global online(which Bell is not set up for, yet(I'm hoping)). I posted a comment on my facebook and someone said that CTV has done the same thing and I have NEVER had CTV ask me that before and in fact I watched Once Upon a Time on Wednesday night to catch up. Well low and behold I go there and sure enough, they've locked their site too.

So my question is, what if I didn't have a service provider because I could only afford the internet and not TV and Internet?! Why are they doing this and when did I miss the memo!? I wasn't impressed and still not impressed. Maybe Global Tv will get back to me with my message that I left them. I would just like to know why they're doing it and why I could watch last week but not this week and what they would do for someone if they didn't have a tv provider. It would be nice to know anyhow. I've been watching episodes online for a good 3 years and never had an issue until last night.

Today, the weather is a bit blue but its supposed to pick up. I wish I was going to the arena today to watch them work horses but it's all good. I'm really looking forward to this day being over and hopefully being able to veg a bit this weekend. I would also really like to pick up my armoire!

Have a great Friday people! Don't complain about the weather, you can't change it, so don't worry about it!

If you mention that spring isn't here, thus is proof.

Day 359, April 24th, 2014

Happy 18th Birthday Stone!! I can not believe that you're that old already! Holy smokes! Time sure does fly by and even though I haven't seen you in a little while, I'd give you big smooches if you were closer!

Stone was the first foal ever born at our place and he was premature. He was small but he was strong. He was my best friend for the longest time. I used to play with him in the front corral for hours. The best game we ever played was tag. I would tag him and run away and than he would catch me and tag me with his nose and than run away. We did this for a really long time. He grew up to be my riding horse for numerous years and was a really dependable and exhausting animal. He always wanted to play with something and it was next to impossible to tire him out. I used to take him on trail rides where in fact he was a nightmare to ride until one time my dad was like, ride him at the back of the pack. So I did and he was fine. He was definitely sure footed and sometimes did things to terrify you but always got you through safe.... except for the one time he was distracted by a canoe and stepped on a giant rock in the Souris River and left me in the middle of the river, lol!

I haven't been able to ride him in awhile because of the damage done to my arms and neck, so dad gave him to Kevin and from Kevin, he went to Nikki's mom's and that's where he is today!!! I'm sure once I tell Keitha, that he will get spoiled!! :)

Here is the birthday boy! This picture was taken a couple years ago!

Anyone who knows me, knows I love gun(more so pistol) items. I found this yesterday. *sigh*

Thursday 24 April 2014

Day 358, April 23rd, 2014

Woohoo! Middle of the week already but the downside is is that I'm really really tired today. I'm not sure how I'm going to keep myself awake but I will definitely try!

Have a great day!

I walk by this tree twice a week and I've never noticed how cool this tree is! Or at least I think so!

Tuesday 22 April 2014

Day 357, April 22nd, 2014

Last night was Gramma's 90th birthday party at Middlechurch home. I couldn't believe how many people showed up to celebrate Gramma being 90 years young! I haven't seen some of these people since Grampa's funeral, which was 10(almost 11) years ago and even then I was still younger. I had to ask Dad who a lot of people were but for the most part it was all good.

Today, I have to go to Canadian Tire to search for a new burner for Jordan's bbq and look for some other things that he might need, muahaha. I'm spending so much money on this darn house! BUT somethings can wait, which I'm telling myself to just relax and let it happen gradually and not blow all my money on everything he needs! lol :) I just want to help though but can't drain myself either.
Anyways... I'm also hoping to maybe pop into that liquidation place after work to see if I can also find anything, maybe even for myself. Thinking of seeing if those end tables are there still, they'd be good nightstands for Jordan's spare room..AND there I go again! Geez! I should stop while I'm ahead! Have a great Tuesday everyone!

First time wearing my new necklace from Arizona!

Monday 21 April 2014

Day 356, April 21st, 2014

Monday morning I wish you were a holiday! I could really use another day off and just do nothing all day! Oh well, I guess I'll just have to do my best to get through today!

Today is also my Gramma's 90th birthday! Happy Birthday Gramma!! I'm looking forward to seeing you tonight!! Not that she'll ever read this but she's made it to 90 and I couldn't be happier!

I hope today is an easy going day as my brain does not want to function properly! lol :)

Happy Monday everyone!

Happy 90th Birthday Gramma!

One of the MOST beautiful woman in the world, my Gramma.

Day 355, April 20th, 2014

Still tired... Jordan and I came home last night after he was done milking and we ran a bath for myself. Unfortunately the jets didn't work but I didn't care, I really needed to soak my feet. It was nice to lay in a big bath tub and just soak in the warmth. Jordan was making popcorn and started a movie as we still can't get the satellite to work. I was in there for a half hour or so, came out and sat on the couch for a minute or so and Jordan was like, ok! Bedtime! Agreed! So exhausted.

This morning, I had our cereal and orange juice all ready on the table for when he got home from milking. He said I didn't have enough time to do dishes so I rinsed them because nothings worse than dried raisin bran in a cereal bowl.
We went from his house to his parents house while he changed the tire I napped in the truck, than we went to my parents and visited there for a bit until we left for Lindsay's again.
Took more pictures and some video of the events that happened today. Horses were good and not good. Ducky was awesome as he stood ground tied for a long time(first time really doing this with him) Liberty was great. So calm around horses that are running around and what not. He was a bit more dependent on other horses today compared to yesterday but that's ok, he's just learning.
Kat and Chinnok didn't have a great end to the day as Chinook was relatively good for the day and than decided to come apart towards the end. By the time they were done with her she was pretty worn out. Hopefully this is the last of her shenanigans.
Went home as Jordan needed to do afternoon chores only to realize that he left his rubber boots at the arena but thankfully Kevin picked them up so we had to go pick them up from my parents place.

After visiting it was off for supper at Jordan's parents and than I edited pictures while Jordan milked as they now only have one tv in their place, I couldn't watch what I wanted to, so I just played on my computer.

Than it was home to Jordan's for a shower and bed. I'm definitely too old for late nights and early mornings!

Hope you had a good Sunday!

Day 354, April 19th, 2014

Is it morning already?! Ugh, I'm too old to stay up this late. :( 3 am vs my 6am wake up call is not cool. 21 hours awake and working as hard as I did... my body is NOT happy with me today. I somehow need to get myself some motivation for today as we're going to Lindsay's arena. Both Jordan and I are right exhausted so today could be interesting!

Hope everyone has a great Saturday!

Day 353, April 18th, 2014

First morning waking up in the new house. Jordan and I spent our first night in the house last night and we were both like, what are all of those sounds?! For the most part, it was getting used to the trickle of the toilet after you flush or the wind hitting the house but the major sound that we're both not used to is the furnace. We were both ready to fall asleep and it was like WHOA! What IS that?! haha!! We obviously got used to it because we both fell asleep.

Today has started off to be quite busy. Jordan's alarm went off at 6am and I was pretty much awake by the time he left. I layed in bed until 7 and than started cleaning my butt off. Unpacked and washed my wine and margarita glasses and champagne flutes. Than started on cleaning off the stainless steel. When they move the homes, everything is strapped or taped so all the gunk of the tape is on the stainless steel. I bought these stainless steel wipes and decided to try them out and I have to say, they're quite awesome. When you use them, the staineless steel just glistens, so I was happy!

It was just after 8 when Jordan came in the door and he's like oh you've been busy this morning. Than he's like, I brought breakfast. I look and he's carrying about three different kinds of cereal and fresh milk, yum! So we sat and had breakfast. After breakfast, I did the dishes and he went outside to tinker around.
Around 9:30 he said we had to go do chores, so we left for his parents place. I packed up some more things there and than we headed to my parents place where I started baking cookies and cleaning the house as mom was expected back from Arizona.
I cleaned until around 1:30 when Jordan came to get me (while I was having a meltdown because I couldn't find what I was looking for) and him, Kat and I headed to Kevin and Nikki's for some lunch. After lunch, we got home and I finished doing somethings around the house and we were just about to leave when my mom came home. So we stayed until we absolutely had to leave and went to his parents place so he could do afternoon chores. While Jordan did that, I gathered more items and got ready to take that to his house. I took the truck as he had the tractor to move bales. I started carrying things into the house and than did more cleaning and putting things where I thought they would be ok. Than we had to leave for supper. I took the truck back after supper with yet more items in hand and did the made dash to get everything ready, including myself, for having some people over. Thankfully they're late coming over as I need to catch my breath. I have been working all day and I am exhausted.

I hope everyone likes the house. *crosses fingers* Have a great Good Friday everyone!

Clean and unpacked wine glasses for my girls ♥

Unofficial photo!
First breakfast in the new house! Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal with fresh cows milk! Yummy!

Day 352, April 17th, 2014

Its Thursday!!! And its the long weekend!!! And Jordan has water!!! So much to be excited over!

Last night I was able to submit my pictures to costco for printing as they were now available(yesterday I wrote how the printing lab was temporarily unavailable) so I'm going on my lunch hour to pick up my pictures, see what I could purchase in snacks for tomorrow and than scootch over to Walmart to pick up some toilet paper and other little things.

Last night I vacuumed the kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms. Tonight, if I have time, will be vacuuming the living room and more than likely the kitchen again. Laundry to be done and clean up the kitchen-we clean it everyday but get rid of the clutter and cleaning the bathroom. Lots to do but luckily enough I've been cleaning everyday so its really not that bad.

I'm looking forward to putting my pictures in my albums! Such a simple thing but yet it brings me a lot of joy!

I hope everyone has a great "thirsty" Thursday and a great beginning to the long weekend! Stay safe for those of you who go out tonight, its one of THE busiest nights at the bars, so becareful!

Wednesday 16 April 2014

Day 351, April 16th, 2014

Last night I made Reese Puffs muffins. They're supposed to be like the cereal and I think they were. They weren't overly strong in flavour more like a hint of peanut butter. Still good but they could definitely be better.

I got wind this morning that they're turning the water on today at Jordan's!!!! So if the water is on, guess what I'll be doing?!?! Cleaning! Yup! That's right! LOL!!!
I'm pretty excited though because that means if I have to go to the washroom when I'm there, I now can! Its a funny thing to say but its so true!

Now, at work, we're doing an Easter Egg hunt! Too funny!!

Have a great day! Only today and tomorrow left of the work week!!

Tuesday 15 April 2014

Day 350, April 15th, 2014

Wow! Only 15 days left of this project. I don't know what I'm going to do with myself afterwards. What project will I start next?! I'm so used to blogging everyday that I don't know what will occupy that little bit of my time, choosing what is significant to photograph. Not that all my pictures for this project are great or anything but every picture has a story to me and what the story is behind it. I don't always explain what the story is behind the picture but I try!

Yesterday, my picture is and isn't significant. Its a picture of Jordan's dog that is slowly going down and down. She has made it through this horrible winter and I don't know how she's done it. She doesn't walk well and she likes to lay on the concrete steps instead of in her dog house or some place warmer. The sad part about her is that she doesn't receive a whole lot of attention as she is smelly, lol (barn dog, absorbs the smells from outside) but I try to give her some loving every now and than, especially when no one is watching :) This morning as I watched her and her pathetic cuteness, I took a picture of her and said my ritual, bye Champ, have a great day, stay warm, etc I wasn't really thinking about why I took the picture, I just did because she's cute and sometimes its nice to have pictures to remind us of our pets when they're gone. Whenever that time should come for Champ.

Later in the day, after the whole morning taking the picture of Champ, I talked to my dad. Dad informed me that Lumpy was not doing well and was potentially going to be passed on when I got home. Shocked about this news as the story he told me wasn't very pleasant, it had me thinking about the morning picture with Champ and how it would be nice to have those picture memories. My thoughts were, do I have pictures of Lumpy? Yes, I do but most are with my cell phone and aren't very nice. I would have to search through thousands of pictures to find a nice picture of him. I did find one of him and it was a picture of where he was curled up on my lap and it was a time when I definitely needed some cuddles. It made me pretty sad and as I went home, I knew that he wasn't going to be there for me to say bye and he wasn't. Lumpy had passed on.
Now, not having an abundance of pictures of Lumpy is not the worst thing in the world as we have our memories of him but it would still be nice to look at a picture and feel those memories.
Lumpy was your typical cat. He was a cat born in a house with the heart of a barn cat. He climbed up on things - counter to fridge to above cupboards. He got in trouble a lot. He was super cuddly and never said no to cuddles. He purred instantly and was always willing to take love as long as you'd give it. He was the toughest cat as dad watched him take on a coyote and win. He was great friends to my cat Sasha(miss her everyday) and was just a nice cat. Yes, we called him dummy or chicken ball or lumpy dump but all in all he was your typical cat and no one can really say otherwise. I'll definitely miss him and his cuddles. His willing to go wherever you put him and kicking him off chairs for him to turn around and jump back on it, lol. We will bury him when the ground is warmer and allows us to do so but in the mean time we have him covered and out of harms way.

RIP Lumpy cat, we certainly had our good times and now you and Sasha can cuddle together and give each other baths like you used to. Love you buddy. ♥

Lumpy ♡

Day 349, April 14th, 2014

Monday, here you are again, although I'm not too bummed out you're here as its a short work week. I'm looking forward to only working 4 days this week. My mom will be coming home and Jordan should be getting water, which means he'll start moving in!! I'm excited, wish I could decorate because I've found two pieces that I'd love to put up in his house. I'm going to get him the photo stick things where you don't have to put holes in the walls to hang a picture. They're not supposed to leave any residue on the walls and what not so I'm looking at getting those to hang pictures for now.

These are them! Hopefully they work. The reviews are pretty good on them, so why not try?

Hope everyone has a great Monday!! Only three work days left! Woop Woop!

Awe, Champ curl up somewhere warmer!

Day 348, April 13th, 2014

*Yawn* I sure am tired this morning. I woke up at sometime mid early morning to go to the washroom, stumbled there and was like why am I so tired and I don't want to go to work tomorrow. When I was zombie walking back to Jordan's room, I remembered that it was Sunday and no work today!!! What a great feeling as I curled back in bed and fell asleep! lol

Yesterday was a really really nice day. The drive to Piper's birthday party was interesting as there was a lot of moisture on the ground but I took my time and made it there.
When we got to the birthday party, Michael informed us that Riana is pregnant and due in September! Which means I don't have to wait as long for baby to come, hahah!! They should be finding out within a month or so as they're that far along already! Mom does know and she kept it a secret. It did help that she found out and was in Arizona the next day, lol.

After Pipers birthday party, which Elsa was there for, we went to home depot. Jordan found two lights for his garage that he wanted and dad found a ceiling fan that he was going to put up in his bedroom. I should've bought one come to think of it.. the only thing is, is the lights are not bright enough for my room so I'll have to look for something with different lamp shades.
After home depot, it was off to Wendy's for some supper. Jordan, Dad and I had decided to opt for something quick as we stayed at the birthday party for too long.
After supper, it was off to the MTS Centre to find a decent parking spot and find our seats. We ended up finding a great parking spot and headed over there. We bumped into Delmer and Denise(who we were sitting with) than a few other people. When we were in our seats, it was search the crowd for people we know time, lol. We were able to see Alyssa and her family, she told us about Pan, so we found Pan. Than we spotted the de Laroque crew. We also spotted some of our friends that we haven't seen in awhile. During break I went on FB to find out that Jessica was there and ended up finding her! It was great! Bulls beat the cowboys for sure. Had one pretty angry bull that entertained us and the dancing provided by the crowd was hilarious too!!
On the way home, we stopped in Stonewall to do banking and than headed home!

Today, Jordan and I went to his place and I started cleaning aka vacuuming and using lysol wipes to clean things as we still do not have water.
Than it was off to Trevor and Lisas for a visit, back home than to my house to watch Heartland's season finale!

I tell you, this episode of Heartland was one of my favorites! So good! Although I'm unsure about Amy and Ty. Oh well, we shall find out!

Have a great rest of your Sunday!!

LOL this picture is so bad but oh well! Can't wait for water!!!!

Day 347, April 12th, 2014

Its Pipers birthday party today!! I've made cookies and ritz treats for her party and they're all packed up ready to go. I'm hoping that people really like them as I know I do, lol.
The weather is kinda crappy right now as it seems to be during Pipers birthday parties. I don't know why it chooses her day to be that way but it does.

Today is also PBR, so we have a whole day of plans ahead of us. We'll go to Pipers birthday party from 2:30 until 5 or however long it takes to clean up and than we'll go to Home Depot and than out for supper before heading over to the MTS Centre for some bull riding!

Hope everyone has a great Saturday!

Friday 11 April 2014

Day 346, April 11th, 2014

Its Friday and I'm tired, lol. I stayed up late last night baking as I had a late start making the cookies. The first batch turned out beautifully. Wonderful colour, oddly shaped(which I like in a monster cookie personally) the second batch didn't turn out so great. I did use the same pan as the previous batch so my guess was the pan was too hot and using the same baking time, I over baked them. They're still good just not as attractive as the first batch. I'll put the second batch on the bottom of the container, lol!!
I also made some ritz cracker rolo/reese things again. Nikki really liked them and dad and Kevin ate more than the night before so I'm taking that they like them. Which is good because I make them and don't need to eat them, lol :)

Today, I'm going to go get my free pita for lunch :):)

Enjoy your Friday!

Thursday 10 April 2014

Day 345, April 10th, 2014

Last night on my way home from work, I was amazed by the amount of geese that have made it home. I know this is the time of year but it was like POOF! They're here! I forgot to bring my camera with me today but tomorrow I'm going to and probably stop pretty much anywhere to take pictures of them. I'd say be prepared to potentially see a lot of geese pictures in the next little while, lol! I did see a guy this morning taking pictures of trees and I was like, what is in the tree and I noticed a nest. I'm not sure if anything is in the nest but now I'm down right curious :) I'm going to put my tripod in my vehicle now too so I can use that now that the weather isn't so crappy.

For dinner last night, I tried a pinterest recipe. I made Ranch Chicken Rollups! They're time consuming but next time, they won't be as I'll know what to do and what I could do better.
They're crescent rolls, chicken strips or chicken breast halved, ranch dressing, bacon and cheese. Mmm so tasty! Not great for the waist BUT you don't have to go hefty. You could dress this up a bit to make it a tad bit healthier. The recipe called for two pieces of bacon but I opted for one on mine and thinly sliced cheese and not a lot of dressing BUT with light dressing, you can put a little more on.
Next, I made rolo ritz treats. They're the most simple treats EVER! I'm planning on making this for Piper's birthday along with monster cookies(made with eggies though ;)) I'm not sure what dad thought of the rolo ritz treats but he may have got one made with reese peanut butter cups (which to me, are also good) Tonight's feat it so make the monster cookies as I probably won't have time to make them tomorrow!

Have a great Thirsty Thursday!!

Day 344, April 9th, 2014

Oh Wednesday! The middle of the week! Although its the beginning of the day, I'm still excited you're here!

Last night, we got our new hot water tank. I'm very much looking forward to having showers that have hot water the entire time I'm in the shower! So exciting!

Today, I'm going to search for good kids cookie receipes. I'm thinking chocolate chip is just too typical so I may go with a monster cookie or something more fun :) Michael asked me to bake some cookies for Pipers birthday party so now I'm on the hunt for cookies to bake!

Have a good Wednesday!

Wednesday 9 April 2014

Day 343, April 8th, 2014

Last night, I went to Nikki's to watch Frozen with her and Kat. I had heard a lot about the movie from friends with kids as well as my brother so I was excited to watch it!
I felt it had a lot of funny cute moments that I think mostly only parents would understand. I wouldn't mind adding it (amongst others) to my collection of Disney movies. I still wish that all my Disney movies hadn't been stolen. The replacement cost is ridiculous. Disney movies never lose their value so you're spending around $25.00 plus to get a movie you've already bought :( Oh well, I will someday!

Today, I received my Stampin' Up items!! So excited to try these guys out. I already tried out the horse but with the ink marker and I definitely think it'll be better with an ink pad. The marker takes too long and starts to dry up so the print becomes faded. I did it because I wanted to see what it looked like. I'm pretty excited to use these towards my project that I'm working on!
Which reminds me, I completely forgot the mail key to get the mail! ARGH! Must remember to put it in my purse tonight to go to the mail tomorrow! Silly me :(

Hope you all have a great Tuesday and that something fun comes along!

My new stamp! So excited!

Day 342, April 7th, 2014

Oh thank goodness, I have a chiropractic appointment today. I know its an inconvenience for work but if I'm going to cope being at work in pain all the time, they need to be a little relaxed and let me go to my doctor's appointments. Which they are for the most part, thankfully.

I'm hoping after my appointment my neck doesn't feel so tense. It feels like my head could snap off at any moment. This is how it felt when I was first diagnosed with my issue so I'm hoping its not completely reverted back :(

Wish me luck! Have a great Monday!

HUGE snow flakes came falling down for about 15 minutes, this is one of them!

Day 341, April 6th, 2014

What a day.. I don't know what is wrong with my head. I'm so sensitive to light today and I can feel it in my eyes. I'm struggling and its really annoying.
My neck and head and eyes hurt so bad today that I turned down a ride with everyone as I just couldn't do it. We closed the blinds and let the kitchen be dark so I could be amongst everyone that was over. I could look at a computer screen but couldn't handle being outside. I tell you, it was a big bummer.
I did manage to go outside for a little bit but I pretty much wanted to put two pairs of sunglasses on to be out there.
Poco, one of our stallions got out and was driving another one of our stallions crazy. So I stood in the corral and started snapping pictures of Ringo as he ran and snorted around the pen. He was licking his lips several times so I got a lot ridiculous photos of him but was able to capture a few not so bad ones.

New Heartland tonight! Next week is the season finale! But relax folks, they've been renewed for another season! Woop woop!

Have a great rest of your day!

Day 340, April 5th, 2014

Eeee!! Exciting day as far as I'm concerned! I was able to get some crafting done as well as bring out my boy Liberty. The weather is SO nice outside and I'm pretty excited because Mark and Ron are out which means Lib will get rode! Woohoo!
Lib saddled up like a champ, hasn't been saddled since before Christmas! Mark got on him, started riding him, Lib thought about hopping but quit and just did whatever Mark wanted to do. We definitely have to work on his backing up but that's not a problem since he does it but with resistance!

That night Dad, Jordan and I were going to go to Kevin and Nikki's but Kevin called and said their bbq wasn't working and asked if they could use ours. So Troy, Kevin and Nikki came with supper. Kat was already at our place since today was Smokey's last day for medication. So we enjoyed a great dinner, just rather late at night!

Hope you had a good Saturday!!

Here's two for you :):)

Day 339, April 4th, 2014

Bon Voyage Ma Moo!!!

Arizona is going to welcome mom with temperatures of 24 today and than throughout the week temperatures are supposed to get to over 30 degrees!! Lucky mom! lol

As far as I'm aware, everything went without a hitch this morning for mom. I checked her in last night so that she didn't have to worry about it when she got there. I could tell she was feeling a little anxious and her mind was going all over the place so I thought it might give her a head start :)

I really hope that she's having a good flight, according to her arrival time, she should be landing now. 9:05 Arizona time so 11:05 our time.

I sent her with my point and shoot, so I'm hoping she takes advantage of that and takes pictures for everyone to see all the places she went! I know I would be! LOL!!

Have a great Friday everyone!!!

I think this could be interesting. Didn't know War Horse was coming to Winnipeg until today!

Day 338, April 3rd, 2014

I wish today was Saturday... than I wouldn't have had to get up to get ready for work this morning. I'm definitely not as tired as I thought I would be but I'm definitely petering out and I still have 3.5 hours of work to go.

As of right now, my mom has 16 hours and 43 minutes until she leaves on her plan to Arizona. I hope she has a great time and I'm sure she will. Jean will have all sorts of things to do with her I'm sure. I'd love to go to the Cowgirls with a Camera exhibit but I can't. Maybe one day?!

Tonight, Jordan is coming over to see mom before she leaves and than I'll be able to give dad his hat and see what he thinks of the rope for lead ropes.

Hope everyone has good Thursday!

Welcome home guys!!! Sorry that we still have snow!

Day 337, April 2nd, 2014

Eeeee!!! A whole DATE day with Jordan! I'm pretty excited!!

Today, we're heading off to the Brandon Winter Fair! We haven't been in a couple years so we decided to pick a day and head off to see the fair!
On the way to Brandon, Jordan decided not to stop in at Portage, so we ended up getting to Brandon earlier than we had planned.
We stopped in at Cowtown and spent a lot of time in there. I wanted to make sure that I seen everything in the store and didn't miss out on anything, lol.
I found a wicked chin strap that I had my eye on and than Jordan found a bridal and I really liked the bridal. He ended up picking the darker one (as I really liked the dark one) and found a sweet iron snaffle bit with copper inlay. So he scooped that up along with the chin strap I was eyeing.
I looked at the jewellery and found a ring that I thought was reallllly cute but they didn't have my size :( so no jewellery for this girl today.
Dad had asked me to look for a hat for him. He wanted a gus and my dad and I both really love gus hats. The last time I was there, they didn't have anything like it so I was feeling doubtful BUT to much surprise, they had one! Only one and happened to be a size that would fit dad.
I LOVE sales as much as anyone else but I was pleasantly surprised when this hat had 25% off on the inside of the hat! SWEET deal I tell you!! I did find a scarf there that I was a little fond of but it was pricier than what I would have liked for the size that it was. Oh well, no cigar this trip.

After cowtown, it was off to Tractor Supply. I found a hoodie that I really liked but it was too big so that was a no go. Than I found the most cutest, sweetest, most adorable John Deere girl outfit there was. Jordan offered to buy it to put it away but it seemed a little crazy to buy baby clothes when we're not expecting. So I said no but it was sure cute. Came with a little hat, dress, jean diaper cover and something else and I was in love but no dice.
I left the baby outfits and wanted to look to see if they had any rope. I was hoping that maybe they would have some unique rope for new halters as it seems we can't find any halters-again. Instead of finding halter rope, I found lead rope rope. I was able to get enough rope for 4 lead ropes in black and green. The green is awesome, like John Deere green!

After Tractor Supply it was time to head for lunch. Both Jordan and I were starving as we didn't have any breakfast. Of course, as tradition goes, we had Pizza Hut lunch buffet. The wait wasn't too bad but when people come in groups, it would be nice to have them sit instead of stand otherwise we probably could've been seated sooner. Not that it was a big deal but there was a lot of people in the waiting area so it was hard to tell how many were together and what not.
The buffet was really good. The pizza was great (which is rare for pizza hut except at that Brandon location) and the dessert pizza was even better! So good! Great choice for Lunch Jordan other than watching what I eat was totally not happening.

FAIR TIME!!!! hahaha you wouldn't think I would be so excited but I was pretty excited to see all the venues they had advertised. You never know what you'll find at these booths so I was anxious to check them out.
We did the top round first, I always look first before buying anything. On the top round, I came across this place that sold pj's and I was in love with them.... until I looked at the price tag. $25.00 for pj bottoms?! $29.00 for KIDS pj's?! I was starting to feel a little bummed. Jordan and I than moved onto the lower level where I knew some of the tack places would be.
Looked at a few tack places, highly overpriced items and nothing that jumped out at me. Remember, I'm not a blingy/flashy/gaudy type person so a lot of the items out there, are not for me.
Had a real good look at a brand new escape and I have to say, I want one... just not the price tag. This fully loaded Escape was just under $40,000.00 :( I would have to settle with less bells and whistles thats for sure.
Jordan and I also looked at some of the Dodge trucks they had there. They have this neat dark brown color that I wouldn't mind one bit.
After looking at those, my jaw hit the floor. We had turned the corner and ran into 3 beautiful, insanely huge horse trailers. I've seen some living quartered horse trailers but these were houses. One of the trailers was $71K and it was gorgeous. It even had bar stools in it! The second one was nice, didn't have living quarters but I really really nice dressing room. The third and the king of the trailers was a $95+ thousand trailer. It was ridiculous in all reality, lol. The shower was better than most peoples stand up showers in their home for fanciness! I was like damn, that thing better shower you too! hahaha!! It was really nice but I couldn't imagine buying one.
The Cowtown booth really really really disappointed me as well as Mansfields. It didn't offer anything. It was like, here is our junk, lets send it to the fair. So I never found anything there.
If I were into English riding, I'm sure I would've found a lot of things as it was mostly directed to the English riders between Greenhawk, Tack in the Box and a couple other venues that I hadn't even heard of.
Some lady stopped me at one of the booths and Jordan was like, do not make eye contact! LOL! Well she ended up stealing my hand and buffing it with some crazy buffer. It was nice but I had a feeling it came with a hefty price tag so I thanked her and left!
Jordan and I just kind of wandered and than sat and watched the shows. The superdogs always get me. Especially the ones that are just so excited and want to do everything at once. Jordan was laughing at my amusement.
I introduced Jordan to Greek Gyros, he really liked it. I had chicken souvlaki :) so tasty! It was pretty expensive though but oh well.
I'm starting to tell waayyy to many details of my day but the whole evening was great. I really enjoyed it.
Jordan and I stayed until just before the Hackney's and left when they started. We were able to get home just after midnight (thankful that we didn't stay for the heavy 6 horse hitch event as we would've been possibly an hour later and we were both exhausted)
We had a great day and I wish that I didn't have to work in the morning, but that's the way it goes!

Hope you all had a great Wednesday!

Day 336, April 1st, 2014

4 years ago today, I welcomed my first niece. Time has definitely flown by and she has changed very much in the last 4 years. She has grown into a little girl who has a very sweet disposition and a kind, gentle soul.
4 years ago, my life changed. I wasn't just Ashleigh anymore, I was now someones Aunt. I became someone that one day she will look at and know that she can come to me with anything, that she can tell me anything. Someone to help guide her through anything she needs guiding through. That she will have a friend that loves her with all her heart. Someone to laugh with, someone who is stern but still fun and accepting.
I may not see my niece all the time but when I do see her, I squeeze every bit of love that I can give into her in that time frame.
Love is unconditional and that I can say with all my heart, that the love of my niece is unconditional and she is loved every single day.

Happy Birthday Piper, Auntie Loves you! xoxoxo ♥ ♥ ♥
