Rain is here which means that no work will be done at Jordan's today. I'm going to curl up in bed, watch a couple movies, do chores and see what the day brings. Happy Saturday.

Day 150, September 27th, 2013

Well, its day off time and this morning I woke up and said bye to my parents as they headed off to Pembina Valley. So its just Buttons, the cats and myself this weekend. Oh and the horses and cows and Gerry too of course.
I'm going to do lots of picture things this weekend (posting mostly) so Cheers to the freaking weekend!!

Back at work today, feeling slightly better and I mean slightly. Tonight is going to be a busy one. Feeling a little sad that I'm not going to Pembina with everyone but Jordan and I HAVE to get his place ready! We just have to!

Ah, sweet Tuesday. The day that is always forgotten and no one has a purpose for. Technically, you're my Wednesday today as I have a short work week this week that I'm SO very excited for. A whole day for me to do just whatever I'd like. Drive around and take pictures, lay in bed and watch tv all day, play with my horses, anything I like and ahhh it will be grand!

Today, the drive was not a kind one. I swear people who drive 236 are irresponsible idiotic drivers. Please please please learn to judge distance better and remember your common sense. I'm driving 100km's/hour and you're at a stand still. When you turn off of 236 onto 6 and I'm 100 yards away, how long will it take me to catch up to you and your 40km's/hour? Not long, please stop trying to kill me and yourself. I'd like to get married and have babies one day. Thanks.

Day 146, September 23rd, 2013

Monday morning and I'm at work. Much rather still be the weekend but oh well. Short week for me as I have a holiday day coming up on friday.
Yesterday Jordan and I got a decent amount done on his yard. We cleaned up the dead trees that were cut down and all the willows and shrubs. We were able to cut more trees down and pull them out. Unfortunately, the yellow jackets were still there so Jordan didn't want to piss them off so we were only able to get so much accomplished. Around lunch time, we went back to his house for lunch and than off to my place to drop off Jordan's John Deere chainsaw for my dad to fix. We were able to visit with Colin some more before he leaves for Alberta, which is today.

While Jordan was doing chores, I went and filled up my tank with gas for the first time since Trav cleared the air valve for my tank, it filled like a normal tank!! Ahh sooo excited!! After that, came back to Jordan's took pictures of the geese, than went into the house and updated my facebook with some pictures from this project and others. I kept trying to use my brother's laptop but its just too old and slow. Fought with it for an hour and a half one night. Jordan does agree though, I need a laptop of my own. So here's to saving for a laptop before buying anymore camera stuff. *sigh* I just can't win :(

Day 145, September 22nd, 2013

Sunday morning. Cut up potatoes and fried eggs for breaky all done by Jordan. I do sometimes get spoiled by him.
Today is go to his place and work on tree's and hopefully nothing stings Jordan day. Yay to working in his yard. Can't wait!

Day 144, September 21st, 2013

Ahhh Saturday morning. Some breaky, some make up and on the way to Stonewall Jordan and I go. We're meeting with RBC for Jordan to sign more papers. All that's left is waiting on the appraisal of the land, house and land titles!!

Jordan and I than went to my place to pick up the guard for the chainsaw when we saw Tera and Keenan working on Kev's old truck. Jordan decided to stick around and help Keenan while I proceeded to go through my things in the garage. Threw out a lot of things and found a lot of broken things that made me throw out a whole set of dishes. The canisters and dishes were broken, so out everything went.
Took a look at my dressers and man oh man are they going to take some work but on the bright side, Jordan liked my end tables so I'll perhaps start sanding them down this week! They're smaller and easier to work on! Yay!

Day 143, September 20th, 2013

Lately, I've been using my good ol point and shoot camera. I love that camera! Jordan bought me that camera for my birthday last year. Which also means, these pictures are Straight Out of the Camera! I haven't been feeling the greatest in the past two weeks. A lot of discomfort with my neck, a lot of headaches and random pains throughout my body. I came to work one day and I couldn't walk properly. Its just been tough. Hopefully this weekend, I'll take out my camera and get some great shots.

Today is gloomy outside but I welcome the little bit of moisture, our ground at home is so dry... hopefully the weekend turns out nice as Jordan and I still have a lot of yard work to do.

Day 142, September 19th, 2013

Jordan and I were talking this morning about how the frost has changed the trees. Its definitely starting to look more like fall, which makes me excited because I definitely want to get some good fall pictures!!!

Last night, I went to Travis' and he finally did the tune up on my vehicle. Forgot my air filter and pig tail BUT I'll grab my air filter and he can put it in. Brakes are next!!! Yay for tune ups but thumbs down for spending money!! *giggles*

I took this self image as everyone needs to feel significant in life, no matter what! Lately I have been feeling a little insignificant, so here I am! The face behind the camera! And yes, my bed is unmade but I crawled into it right after this picture :)

Happy Birthday Nikki!! ♥

Last night I was able to organize my pictures and put them into their proper albums. When going through one of the albums, which is for this project, I realized I forgot to print ONE picture. How disappointing. Now, I have to remember to print that picture the next time I print pictures.

Jordan was there when I was doing this and he couldn't figure out why I'm printing pictures and doing photo albums if I'm putting them in a virtual photobook. The way I look at it, is that not everyone has facebook or access to the internet to follow my project. This way, when I may not have facebook or a virtual photo album, I still have physical photo albums for people to flip through. How many people still make actual photo albums anymore?? If you do and you're reading this, let me know!

Day 140, September 17th, 2013

Day 140... yeesh, time is going pretty quickly I must say. A little too quickly.

Today, I went to get pictures printed and hit the 'select all' button and hit print. Well I pick up my pictures a couple hours later only to realize that it didn't print all the pictures that I wanted. I don't have a clue as to what I did wrong that those pictures weren't printed but now, after work, I get to go back and print the ones I missed. I'm just hoping that the pictures I missed are actually on the usb.

Day 139, September 16th, 2013

Back at work today after a weeks holidays. I'm a little sad to be back at work, definitely could've used another week off but its ok. I'd like to work on Jordan's place more but he's also back at work, so short evenings are just going to have to do!

Tonight, I need to clean out my vehicle to load up some propane tanks for my dad, put my begoth dolls in to take to Raven Collectibles to see what they will give me for them. Do some more ebay shopping, I've got my eye on a lens for sale, its from henrys.com but on ebay and it has my name written allllll over it but people keep trying to steal it from me! :( jerks!! LOL :) So we shall see, only 5 days left!

Day 138, September 15th, 2013

Sunday Funday is here! Jordan and I agreed to not work at his place and actually do something more fun than pulling trees. Off to my place we go as I'm sure our horses are feeling rather neglected.

We started by catching Sakota, Rebel and Iceman to take up to pasture. Than we moved Teepee and Ringo, Anna and the baby. Ringo is back in with Poco, Teepee is where Ringo was and Anna and the baby are now with the other mares and babies. Libby will be moving from the front of the corral to behind the barn. Cracker Jack is graduating to a bigger pen with Ducky. Whew, did I get all of that right? :)

Jordan took Ducky to the round pen, I tied up Liberty and we put Joker in the trailer to send to Wendy's for the rest of the summer/fall. We took Joker there and came back to work Ducky and Libby. Well Ducky ended up getting worked and Lib with a saddle on but it was all good :)

This also included an impromptu fun photo shoot(aka taking pictures of Kat on smokey) I think I laughed more than took pictures!!!! ♥

Day 137, September 14th, 2013

Wowza, Jordan and I had quite the long, tiring day yesterday. We cut tree's, moved tree's and tried to reconfigure things as the best as we could. He was exhausted and I wanted to continue but I could see that he just couldn't do anymore than what we had. So we called it a day at chore time.

Later in the night, Jordan was asked to go combine/haul grain so I sat around watching, Say Yes to the Dress, while he worked. He asked me to go with him but I was so tired and felt better laying in a recliner than I did sitting in either a combine or grain truck. So I cuddled in and watched tv while he got even more tired. Horrible girlfriend I am!

Today, Jordan and I got a lot accomplished!!!! It looks so good in there and everything was going just fine until Jordan cut into a tree and proceeded to get stung a whole bunch of times, including a bite to the ear!! Ugh! Poor guy. We definitely called it a day after that.

That night we went to my house, my dad was able to get a haircut and we all just had a drink and visited. Holidays are slowly coming to a close. Insert pouty face here, lol.

Day 136, September 13th, 2013

Happy Friday the 13th!!!!

oooooh supper was sooooooooo good last night! I had the rib and chicken combo with honey garlic sauce. Oh so yummy!!! Everyone enjoyed their food and I can't wait to perhaps do this again soon! Next time, I'd love to go to Famous Dave's! I MUST get there someday......

Yesterday, Jordan and I worked on his yard. We pulled trees and staked where the house and garage will be. I'm getting mega excited. I can not wait!! We're going to miss Pembina, which I'm super bummed about but PRIORITIES!!!!!!!

Day 135, September 12th, 2013

Wow, yesterday actually went really smooth! Dad and I went to the city for his stress test and that was a couple hours sitting around waiting for it to all be over. Than we drove to Joey's Only Seafood and had a delicious lunch!! Such a good idea, way to go me! lol. After that, we went to Princess Auto and than to WestGates. I'm never satisfied by any of the tack stores around here. They never have what I'm looking for and if they do, its way out of my price range. For example, for my birthday, Janice said she would buy me a new pair of cowboy boots. Excellent, now to find a pair that I like. I'm a Justin Gypsy boot wearer as Canada West no longer makes my type of boots. Am I bitter? YES! So we're looking at boots and I'm like, wow are these nice! They're taller than what I would like but they have the Vibram sole that I love. I flip the price tag over, $239.00. OUCH! I know for a decent pair of boots, they're going to cost but the last pair of boots that I had that were somewhat the same were $70.00 cheaper. Yowza. So the hunt continues. I've looked online and I found a pair of boots where I absolutely love the uppers but they have a damn square toe!! GRR!!! Why do they always have to come with damn square toes?! So unfair. Anyways... dad and I went home where him and mom proceeded to make my birthday supper. This consisted of bbq'd steaks and garlic bread(that mom did) and fettucine!! After supper, Nikki came and than Jordan came so I opened my cards and my present from mom and dad. After that, Kevin, Lawrence and Jeremy came. We had ice cream cake and a drink and just visited.

Tonight, Bill's Sticky Fingers for supper!! oooh Exciting!!!

Today, Jordan and I have a busy day ahead of us working in his yard... counting down the days!!!!!!

Day 134, September 11th, 2013

Happy Birthday to ME! Yes, today is my birthday. Do I feel different, not so much. Today is a day where everything seems to go wrong. Its been that way since I was young. Between fights, accidents involving cats and pitch forks and the twin towers, its been a rough few birthdays. So here's to hoping today is a smooth day!

Speaking of 9/11, Twelve years ago today, I stepped off the school bus to hear my friend Jordana say, did you hear about the twin towers? Of course I was on a bus and did not hear of this but the rest of the school day was shot. We didn't have classes, we sat around in classrooms and watched the news and just sat there helpless watching as to what was happening in the US. I'll never forget that birthday and no one will recognize my birthday as a great day anymore and for the rest of my life, I will probably always read about 9/11 before anything else.

So here's to the fallen and here's to my birthday. Cheers.

Niece Day!!!!

My lovely nieces were over today and I tell ya, they were busy busy little girls! We played a lot and than we were able to go outside and play with some bubbles!!! Piper got bored quickly and was quite distracted by the cows, so bubbles were put away... after Gramma had her chance to play with them :)

Day 132, September 9th, 2013

Most exciting day in a long ass time!!! SOOOO EXCITED!

Jordan and I had almost a date day. We went to Best Buy and looked at his place that he wanted to see the new wood in and he's decided that he likes this wood better so he went and secured his home!!! He could have it by September 30th!! EEEEEEEEE!!!!!! So freaking excited!!!!!

We also went out for lunch to the Olive Garden and than to Canada West among other places!! Had a GREAT GREAT day!!!!

I was able to get out of bed a little easier today. Was starting to craft when a bang at the door made me get out of my room only to sit down for quite awhile to visit with Jean.

Another in all day in bed day. Cleaned my room slowly, its better than what it was but still not great. Oh well, gave me something to do while suffering with a bad tummy.

I do not feel well today, ick! Tummy is not happy at all. Went to work only to come home after picking up cupcakes that I had ordered from a girl at work. Crawled into bed and that's where I stayed for the day.

Day 128, September 5th, 2013

Happy Birthday Orange Bumble Bee!!! :)

Last night on the way home, I stopped in our corn field, I grabbed my camera and proceeded to walk into the field for a little bit to see what kind of pictures I could get. With the recent events of wolves, bears and things getting eaten, I was a little more on edge being in a creepy corn field than normal. As I'm walking through the corn, that is at least 7 feet tall if not higher, the slight breeze is playing tricks on me. By this, I mean that the slight breeze blows through the corn and creates a rustling sound which sounds like something is walking through the corn. I'm walking through the bald spots where they said there was a seeder malfunction(lol) looking at the ground to see if anything unusual has been walking through the field. I can see deer tracks and what I thought to be paw prints but I think that's my imagination playing tricks on me.

The corn is in the weird stage where its still partially green but turning brown from drying out. The tassles are an almost brown/black burnt colour and the corn is bright yellow. Its definitely an interesting sort of stage where the pictures are either going to look really cool or really blah. I try not to touch the corn to get a cool picture but rather walk around to find the corn peeled or showing in a natural state. I did peek at a cob of corn only to find a big ol lady bug in there, so I took pictures of the exposed corn. I'll be posting more of the pictures in my sessions blog and I'll post the link here to see the corn picture from yesterday as it was also my picture of the day from September 4th.



Day 127, September 4th, 2013

A week today until my birthday, not that I'm willing to over celebrate or anything nor admit to how old I am. Feeling pressured by my own timeline and have to come to grips with the fact that when I was younger and the goals I had set out for myself, just aren't going to be done in time. Its not that I haven't tried and failed, its a matter of time and patience. Somethings are worth waiting for and just because I haven't hit my timeline yet, doesn't mean that its not going to happen. It'll just be a little later than I had planned as a youngster.

This morning, when I stepped out of my house, I felt the crispness of fall coming. It was actually nice to feel the coolness on my skin. Something about stepping out on the deck looking over the animals and feeling/smelling that air, it was a treat. Not that I really want fall to come or anything but it was a refreshing change. You can tell the animals feel it as well. Two calves were cuddled up to one mom this morning. Definitely a cute sight first thing in the morning :)

Day 126, September 3rd, 2013

Back to work.. only 4 more days and than I'm only holidays for 9 days! Pretty excited for this! Kevin was talking about taking me to Community pasture to get some neat pictures of them working cows and what not. I'll also be able to spend some time with Jordan and maybe have a few mornings where I don't have to get up to an ALARM! Ahh that will be so nice! We shall see what happens :)

Day 125, September 2nd, 2013

Monday Funday today!! Off to the beach we go first thing in the morning! Nikki, Kev, Kat, Pan and I all crawled into Nikki's car and headed off to St Ambroise for some beach fun. We met up with Lisa, Trevor and the kids to enjoy a few hours of sun. The wind was chilly and I never put my feet in the water but I got some nice pictures of the water with the kids. First time using my camera at the beach and it makes me love it more and more each day. Especially trying new things with it, such as being at the beach! Wish I could've taken more pictures but no one seemed to want to model for me! LOL speaking of trying new things. I fiddled around with some of my camera settings over the weekend and was able to make some cool colour settings, nice to know you can do this as it makes some cool pictures!!

After beach time, we unloaded the car and said bye to Pan as he had to leave and the rest of us went to the pit to do some painting. I felt like the worst painter in the world and had to quit part way through as my neck was getting very very sore but everything seems to be doing just fine!

After that, we went and had some supper and I headed home to see my parents for a bit before heading back to Jordan's.

All in all it was a really good weekend. Wish that Jordan could've had an actual day off to spend sometime with everyone or maybe just me, lol but I'm hoping that this coming weekend him and I will get to do some things that we've been meaning to do. Like checking out the new wood in the place Jordan wants to get :)

Day 124, September 1st, 2013

Wow, September already! Time sure does fly by! This also means that harvest will soon be over! Not that the work stops, that just means Jordan and I get to work our buns off while we prepare for his home to come in.

Today, Jordan did an oil change on his truck while I played with kittens and than wandered the yard looking for parts from the lawn mower that his mom had lost. Off to work we go at 12:30 to only do a few loads of grain to the bin yard before having to leave to go home for supper. After supper, I headed over to Trevor and Lisa's for retro country and a bonfire with some friends. Ended up being a pretty good night. I froze towards the end and that always means home time for me! Thank goodness for Jordan and how warm he is.

Day 123, August 31st, 2013

Fresh Saturday morning and off to work with Jordan for the day. This consists of spraying a field and than sitting in  a semi all day. Well maybe not all day as a combine went down for a couple hours and they couldn't figure out what so up it went at it again. Jordan and I continued to haul grain to the bin yard and than it started to rain. Everyone got to quit for the night so off to home we went for supper. That night we met some friends at the Woody and than back to Jays for some drinks and a visit. Home to bed earlier than the rest of them as Jordan has to work tomorrow. Boo.

Day 122, August 30th, 2013

Wow, its been an insane day at work so far! Looking forward to the much needed long weekend!! Have no idea what will happen this weekend but I won't be at work! So it'll be good :)

Someone is coming to look at Hank tonight. Every
time I hear about it, it breaks my heart because each time is one step closer to him leaving.

I ordered a dozen cupcakes today too, I'll have to post a picture of those when I get them next week!! I guess an early birthday celebration to me as I don't think there will be much celebrating. Last birthday of my twenties. *gulp* makes me sad....Where did the time go?

Day 121, August 29th, 2013

Well, last night we had a few people come out to look at buying horses. Sold one for a client of ours and almost sold two of our own. It breaks my heart. I'm hoping that someone that I'm close to decides to buy one of them, than I don't have to say good bye to a horse I really really care for.

Today has so far been a bit of a gong show. Just a weird weird day. Too bad we couldn't get another power outage like yesterday. Two hours of being down and closed. We played heads up charades and that is a fun fun game!! I wouldn't mind having something like that on hand to play for a little while with a group of people.

Its cool out today, drove in the rain a bit this morning to work. Looking forward to the relief from the heat!!!

Hates coming to work and feeling cranky as soon as I'm spoken to. I hate snotty people.

Another freaking cranky ass day. I finally got some decent sleep last night but as per usual, never long enough. At least a calf was born today but even that news hasn't lasted. Get to work and it just sucks the energy right out of me. I need a change, I'm frustrated and I feel that I could make a major mistake by just saying, I quit. I really need to figure things out otherwise I will be out of a job and begging someone to give me money. Just completely and utterly frustrated and tired of doing the same thing day in day out.
