Happy Halloween!!!!!!

I've got my spurs that jingle jangle!! I'm totally going to annoy the office with wearing my spurs but its apart of my costume so screw it! haha.

I love that most of us dressed up at work. We have: Catwoman, Pebbles, a tiger, a nurse, superman, a devil, an angel, a skater kid, a guy dressed in orange and me, a cowgirl. Only one person didn't dress up!! How good are we?!

Ahhhh love dancing to certain halloween songs..... Let's DO the TIME WARP again!!!!

oooooh All Hallows Eve!!! Spooooookyyyy!! Ok, lame IS my name but I DO try to at least make something funny. What is everyone dressing up as?! Feel free to post your halloween costumes on my blog over the next two days or even on my facebook page! I didn't get any full body shots of my costume over the weekend, which is a shame because Kat and I looked good.. ok well maybe just Kat ;)

Day 180, October 27th, 2013

Holy crappers batman am I sore. My feet are exhausted from wearing platform shoes last night and the rest of me is from riding hard yesterday with the horse drive. I really don't feel like doing anything today whatsoever and yet Jordan and I still have quite a bit of work left to do at his place with cleaning up some trees and well my part is pretty much done. I don't think we'll be planting trees yet this year. I think we might end up putting hay there or something. I never know whats going on.

Last night we were definitely out too late and I hate saying it but I definitely can tell I'm getting older. I do not handle staying up as late as I used to anymore. Sad part of my life, HAHA!!!

Day 179, October 26th, 2013

Its Saturday and that means that its horse drive day. After a drink or two last night, we were able to celebrate NOT having to pull fence Sunday. Woop woop. Details are complicated so I'm going to leave it at that.

Saddled up the horses, headed to the quarter and began the round up of the horses. It didn't take as long as it has and perhaps even the shortest amount of time with the least amount of people. Our horses were exhausted when we were done, especially Spidey but we all got through it. No, I wasn't able to take any pictures of the round up itself, but I did get some of the separating of horses. Putting them into their winter groups and what not. I'm proud to say that my little Justice was actually able to be caught without being roped. Nikki went in quietly and snuck a halter on her and lead her out while Miss Key decided to jump the fence in the blink of an eye. Wow! Was I shocked and YES I did MISS taking a picture of it!

Afterwards we were able to get some food in our bellies, had a great visit with Jean and said bye to her as she's off to Arizona for the winter. I will definitely miss her visits but we do have email :)

Now, to get ready for Aaron and Steph's halloween wedding social :)

Day 178, October 25th, 2013

Its the 11th hour.. we're getting close to Sunday and everyone is stressed. We're all hoping for a miracle and crossing every finger and toe we have to make sure this goes through. Please please please be a miracle and let us come out on top for once in our lives, please! If we lose this, it could be very very bad.

What to write about this morning?! I'm not positive if the lines got trenched yesterday or not at Jordan's. I forgot to go to Princess Auto for him, whoops! So that I have to do tonight. I think I've figured out what I'd like to be for halloween for the wedding social on Saturday. Now to find little bits for the costume. I hope everyone else dresses up because I don't want to buy these pieces and than no one dress up because than I won't want to. I need a hooded cape and stockings. Should be around $20.00 if I'm lucky!!!

Now to see where I can find the stockings I'd like.. off to research! Happy Thirsty Thursday!

Good Morning fellow blog readers... Its Wednesday morning and its the middle of the week. This weekend is going to be crazy busy and I'm sorry to hear about P!nk to all of you that were going to her concert Saturday, at least she has rescheduled! We are bringing the horses home. I'm not sure if I'm riding yet or taking pictures.. it could be very interesting.
Anyways, about today, Jordan texted me and told me that his water lines are getting trenched today! HOORRAAAAYYY!!!!! I'm excited about everything. He also got the drawings for his garage and will hopefully get a permit today for that and build forms this week for concrete for his garage! Oh I'm so crossing my fingers!!!

Day 175, October 22nd, 2013

Welllll good morning Tuesday. I was nice and cuddled in my bed when I decided not to be late and get ready for work. I get a phone call from my dad saying, I hate the weather, you better leave early. Why now?! Well apparently we have 3-4 inches of snow on the ground and double that on my vehicle! Oh great. Now I'm going to be late. I sacrificed my warmth of my bed only to find out I have to go clear snow. Wonderful. I go outside and yes, it took me about 20-25 minutes to clean off my vehicle making me 15 minutes late for work. Awesome.

Now its snowing a little in the city. Thank you Tuesday.

Day 174, October 21st, 2013

Well Monday Morning, we meet again. Another day at work, oh the joy.
Yesterday, Jordan and I checked to see if the pad was level and it is for the most part. We need to add some more clay to level off the pad and than add some rock to fill in the remainder of the 18" requirement.
We squared off the garage and cut up some fire wood. Jordan also mowed where the garage was going to be and mentioned that we have to plant trees soon. Wonder when we're going to find time to do that!!

Day 173, October 20th, 2013

brrrrrr!!! Its COLD outside! Jordan and I have things to do at his place, like check to see if the pad is level, cut shrubs, plant trees, cut wood and a whole whack of other items.
Its cold outside and I don't feel like being out there freezing my buns off!

Hopefully the day ends up good!

Day 172, October 19th, 2013

♥Happy Birthday Grampa, miss you and love you everyday!♥

 

 

Scattered Seeds day!!! Lisa, Janice, Rosalie and I headed off to Scattered Seeds first thing in the morning. We were able to get into the building before doors opened and waited for the all clear to go. I ended up getting some Christmas presents and some cinnamon honey butter for myself. After SS we went to the Headingly community centre for their craft sale and ended up buying some treats for Jordan. After that was a lunch at Nicks and off to West Gates where Momma J bought me my birthday present, which would be my picture of the day if my phone wasn't being a whoha. We than headed off to the White Horse to look at what they have, they definitely have some nice things. But nothing for me that time.

 

We headed for home and proceeded to get ready for bull-o-rama. Jordan, Trevor, Lisa, Espen and myself headed up to Eriksdale to watch some bucking bulls, as Espen would call them. The boys had supper at Havakeen and headed over to the arena. Hopefully the night isn't too chilly!!

Day 171, October 18th, 2013

Does it pay to be honest? Today, I received an extra hundred dollars on my paycheque. It looks like negative deductions on my pay stub for my benefit contributions. I have emailed my HR department to find out in case they figure they made a mistake and take it off my next pay. I'm a pretty budget strict type person so that would not be good for me.

Do you think its good to be honest? Or should you wait and see if they notice and take the hundred dollars? Maybe they'll reward me the hundred dollars for being honest? A girl can hope, can't she?

It DOES pay to be honest... apparently my employer has been charging me for benefit premiums as though I was paying for spousal contributions, so that extra money is mine! That means my pay will increase next pay too!! Yay for Fridays!

Day 170, October 17th, 2013

My alarm went off first thing this morning and I decided to shut it off and wake up in oh maybe an hour, lol. I woke up about 25 minutes later and than went meh I'll try and rest some more. 15 minutes later, I was like ok, I've woke up on my own, time to get ready for my dr's appointment and work. Kind of a nice way to wake up though, don't you think? Yes, my alarm went off, but than I was able to get up on my own and when my body was ready, which was the nice part.

It's Thursday of a short work week, wonder if its going to feel like forever or if its actually going to go by quickly?

My pretty new nailpolish, or at least I think its pretty.

I tried using a black base but it really didn't change the outcome much.

Day 169, October 16th, 2013

Do you ever wake up in the morning and have this gut feeling about something? You try to ignore it but you're just not sure if you can shake it. You keep trying to tell yourself, its all in your head, but that can only get you so far.
That's my day today. I'm hoping its just in my head but sometimes, your gut is trying to tell you something. Just what exactly is it saying is the question.

Day 168, October 15th, 2013

Weeooo I think yesterday was a success. I took a lot of pictures but when going through them, I'm sure glad I did. Between blinks and a random very blurry picture, lots of pictures means lots to choose from! Pretty excited. The ones I've edited so far, I think are pretty cute pictures! Thank you to the *C* family for allowing me to do this for you and giving me experience!!

Today, I have another career counseling meeting and am looking forward to it! Wonder what she's come up with :)

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone, whether you're from Canada or not, I am thankful for so many things. Such as those who visit my blog, lol.

Today, is the first of possibly many. Today is the first experience I shall have with doing an actual photo shoot. I take pictures all the time and I usually call them sessions whether they're with people or not but today is the first time I'm going to be taking Maternity pictures! So so excited but scared at the same time! Sure hope I can pull this off!!

Thank you to old buildings that have SO much character. You make fantastic pictures.

Day 166, October 13th, 2013

Oooh turkey day is today! Well at least for my family :)

We're getting to the point at Jordan's place where all I do is really watch what is going on. Try to find things to take pictures of while Jordan is doing something in a tractor. Today was spreading clay for the pad and pulling out oak trees.
While Jordan was moving a clay pile, I came across the fella and took pictures on his journey. Of course I helped him, he took a few tumbles and seemed to be rather tired and cold. Eventually he made his way in to the bush and he was gone. Good luck little guy!

Day 165, October 12th, 2013

Saturday is a day meant for movies and tv shows, lol. Well at least on a reallllly crappy weathered day it is.
Thanksgiving weekend filled with Ghost Whisperer and some Criminal Minds. I also watched Avengers first thing in the morning while I made up some new envelopes! Looking like its going to be a relaxing Saturday. Looking forward to getting together with friends tonight for Tera's birthday!

ahh Friday bliss... its Friday morning and its gloomy outside. My animals are soaked and I'm heading off to work. MTS is working at my place putting in fiberoptics. Perhaps this will be for internet and tv? Not too sure.
Its the final day between majority of people and a long weekend being that Thanksgiving is this weekend. What is in store for this gal? Well my dear friend Tera turned 18 the other day so we'll definitely be celebrating her birthday, plus a family dinner and possibly some fun. I have no idea the work that is in store for this weekend but I am looking forward to three days off and only four days to work next week.

Day 163, October 10th, 2013

Last night, I'm crawling into bed thinking, ugh another late night another early start. How am I going to function?! When I remember tomorrow is Thursday, that means I start late, that means I get to SLEEP IN! Well.. sleep in for what I call sleeping in, which means being able to hit the snooze button longer trying to force me to get up but really I'm not sleeping any longer than normal.

This morning, I was pretty happy that I was able to sleep in and get at least another hours rest before starting my day. Its mid afternoon, I have 4 more hours to go in my work day and I'm so tired, I can feel the pain in my head especially my forehead.

Only 4...more... hours...

Day 162, October 9th, 2013

*yawn* I am tired... stayed up way to late last night. Too much on the go, between the meeting after work , which went very well!! Than coming home and talking about the day. You have to find out about one anothers days!! Than I had laundry and shower and talking to a friend and trying to get the washing machine to spin out properly(the load was uneven) oy oy oy!! Busy night. Which brings me to today and how incredibly tired I am. Which also sucks because I have to try and convince myself to either go for a walk tonight or work out in the basement. Motivation, where are you?!

The meeting went well last night, it has me very curious as to what she'll come up with for careers. She's determined the type of person I am using the Holland Code. Which means I'm social, investigative and conventional. I told Jordan about that and he's like, well I knew that. lol. He's so cute sometimes. But no, really, she figured that out by asking some questions. Not that its rocket science or anything, you ask questions, check off yes or no and see what majority rule. It is exciting though to see where I'm at and see what she'll think I'm good at. I'm looking forward to next weeks session.

Tuesday, we meet again. One day I will come up with an awesome reason for you to be here. Like I've said before, you're kind of the forgotten day. Although you do have good tv on tonight, I also have my first career counseling session. How would you feel if your manager told you to go for career counseling because you've reached your max in your current position? Would you take it as we don't want you here anymore? I want you to figure out your career path so you can be happy? Or, I don't know what to do with you anymore because I can't put you somewhere you'll be happy? Its a different feeling. I really like my manager and I maybe this will be really good for me? Guess I'll find out tonight.

Day 160, October 7th, 2013

Monday morning.. oh boy. I'm way to tired to be dealing with you Monday. Hopefully you're a good day and let me get home at a decent time so that I can go home and play with Lib with some daylight. Everytime I think about Saturday and how awesome Lib was, I get all giddy. The simple things in life are sometimes the finest things.

Day 159, October 6th, 2013

Today seemed to be run around day. Went to Norm's to drop off some milk and I ended up taking pictures of their piggies :) Jordan and I weren't too energetic today so we didn't do much work at Jordan's place. He cut down some trees, pulled them out for Hydro, I watched to make sure he stayed safe. Went home for lunch and Jordan layed on the floor and he was done, didn't want to do anything after that. After chores, we went back to his place to do more hydro clearing than home for supper. Come milking, I nestled into the recliner to watch Once Upon a Time and get a phone call from Janice saying Fluffy the sheep is out and to come help her. By the time I got there, Alan showed up and helped Janice. So basically I just went to play with Fluffy. After milking was done, off to my place to watch the season premiere of Heartland!!!! Nice weekend, too short. 

 

 

Day 158, October 5th, 2013

Weeeeeoooooooooo!!!!! This girl is EXCITED!!!! Mark and Ron were out today and they were wanting to play a bit soooo Dad asked Mark to ride Liberty and he did! We took him to the round pen and Mark climbed on Lib and nothing. They walked around the round pen, trotted, loped and nothing. Mark says he's smooth and pretty cool to ride for his first round pen experience! I'm sooooo excited!!!

Day 157, October 4th, 2013

Well its Friday morning and I'm at work. I've been trying to think of ways to get people a little more interested in my facebook page and my photography. I posted a status on my page asking people for ideas of pictures they have for their home or offices. Some people would like a particular picture or a series of pictures and I'm willing to help. It definitely has to be realistic. I'm not able to travel to far destinations to get pictures of crazy landscapes or animals. So we'll see how that goes. Definitely trying to put my name out there, even if its only with my friends! Here's to me *crossing* my fingers and hoping someone is interested!

♥♥ Happy Birthday to my wonderful 'Brother' Kevin! ♥♥

Last night was girls movie night. We went and seen Monsters University!! I really enjoyed it, had some pretty good laughs! And its nice to spend time with the girls doing something like going out. I know Nikki and I don't get to do much going out stuff so its nice for the three of us to get together and see these movies!!

I bought this wicked nailpolish last night, I'm really liking it so far for a girl who doesn't like a whole lot of sparkle. The nailpolish is black with several different coloured sparkles in it so its always shinning a different colour!! Cool beans :)

Today, Jordan and Dad are going to be taking some of our cows to Winnipeg Livestock. Its getting to that time where its time for them to go. I will definitely miss them but the beauty about cows, is that you can always get more. We've had them for awhile so you do develop a little bit of an attachment to them, unlike regular beef cattle. These are our long horns so they're not as common in our area but I'm sure we'll get more one day!

Day 155, October 2nd, 2013

Wow, just when I thought I messed things up, I find out that I didn't! Geez, talk about beating yourself up for nothing! Turns out that the easement from MTS was sent to Grampa back in July! I thought that I had disregarded it because I read an email wrong but NO! It had nothing to do with me but Grampa not talking to Jordan, only talking to his mom. So, now with that being said, the MTS gentleman (who is really really nice) is emailing me the documents today so we should have them. Now to find a commissioner in Woodlands that Jordan and his Grampa can go to to get the paperwork signed. hoooraaaay for nice people!!

Why Hello October! Nice to see you again, hopefully you're nice to us!

Today, I was browsing this amazing website I found for some cowboy gear and happened to fall in love with a martingale. Oh my gosh I want it SO bad!! I have a yoke style breast collar and I love love love it so this wouldn't be much different and it would be so flashy and pretty on either Liberty or Justice. Well Justice is really small right now so it wouldn't work for her BUT I still want it! lol and no, I'm not sharing a picture of it because I WANT IT! lol. Being entirely selfish but I like unique things and this would be awesome. I might share with my dad. Maybe one day I could even buy him one because Nifty would look amazing in one. I need to win the lottery. Has anyone seen the BMO commercial for when the kid gets his first pay cheque and he dreams about spending all his money and a paper airplane hits him in the head say Whoa! One step at a time... That's me every single day!! haha. Oh well, a girl can definitely dream!

Speaking of dreaming and tack.. I have my saddle up for sale. 15" seat 7 3/4" bars Hereford Tex Tan roper saddle with a round back seat. Its roughout and oh so comfy but doesn't fit my horses. It might might fit Justice but won't for long. :( Oh well, I do have 6 saddles in my possession right now.. wow I completely forgot about the 6th saddle! Yikes!

Yup, definitely should get rid of the one I'm selling, HAHA! *blushes sheepishly*

Day 153, September 30th, 2013

Monday morning how I'm not fond of you. You make my alarm go off and disturb my sleep. Blah to you sir.

Besides being a little frowny that its Monday, I'm pretty excited to see if Mike, the surveyor, emails me so that I can pick up Jordan's documents. I know Jordan isn't as excited as I am right now as he can only see how much work is still to be done. Its not that I don't know that a lot of work is still to be done, I just see everything coming together, regardless about how much work is left! Positive thinking and a great imagination of being able to see it all when I stand in that yard and close my eyes. Its going to be great! Besides, all the work you put into it will give him such a feeling of gratification, it'll be crazy! Ahh, soon he'll be able to relax and be incredibly proud of his accomplishment!!!

Day 152, September 29th, 2013

Sunday morning and my dog is confused. I give her a rawhide and send her outside. I start making breakfast which was toast with cinnamon granola raisin peanut butter. Might not be the best of things for my WW but I also know I'm not going to get any lunch so the peanut butter will certainly help my energy, plus its sooo good, how could I not consider points for this tasty peanut butter?
Anyhow, after breakfast, I vacuumed the kitchen and living room, tried to tidy up anything that didn't seem tidy and went outside as Jordan is now here and we need to move some feed around.
After Jordan and I were done that, we travelled to Alan's and than back to his house so Jordan could pick up a Tractor and down to his yard we went. Keith and Trevor came to help us!! Finally!! Some help! Yay!! So Trevor and Keith helped Jordan as I was just getting in the way, so I twidled my thumbs and watched as the bigger trees got pulled and the opening we were working on was an actual opening now! Ahh so exciting! After all of that, went home for chores, after chores we went back to Jordan's yard, he mowed the area we pulled trees from and used the transit to see the difference between the road and his yard. Six inches, whew! That's not a big difference at all!
After that it was supper, milking and back to my place to hear about Pembina Valley. It was a good day, getting closer and closer to Jordan's home!
